•To review current strategies for reducing anemia in the non-bleeding ICU patient

•To present a recently published clinical trial evaluating the impact of small-volume blood collection tubes on RBC transfusion rates in ICU patients

•To critically appraise a stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial in the field of transfusion medicine

The series, organized by Canadian Blood Services, is also open to all practitioners in the field of Transfusion Medicine. Through a series of regular webinars, trainees and practitioners are exposed to various scientific, technical and clinical aspects of transfusion medicine.
