Objectives:

1.    Describe the global burden of iron deficiency (ID) and iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in Pregnancy.
2.    Describe the impact ID and IDA in Pregnancy to the mother and fetus/infant.
3.    Highlight the approach to clinical management of ID and IDA in Pregnancy.
4.    Review and critically appraise methods and results from the study.
5.    Discuss the pros and cons of conducting interim analyses for phase III Clinical trials.
