  1. Appreciate some of the latest evidence for transfusing LTOWB in massively bleeding patients.
  2. Understand why short term mortality is the most relevant time point in studies of hemostasis in bleeding patients.
  3. Understand the low risk of hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn following the transfusion of RhD-positive blood products to bleeding women of childbearing potential.
