Objectives:

1.    Review the underlying principles of the available RBC antigen genotyping technologies and discuss the advantages and limitations of each method.
2.    Discuss the approach to interpret genotyping assay results and its intersection with bioinformatics and genomic databases.
3.    Apply the learned concepts through the discussion of representative donor and patient RBC genotyping cases.

Through a series of regular webinars, trainees and practitioners are exposed to various scientific, technical and clinical aspects of transfusion medicine.
