Value Based Health Care

The British Columbia Transfusion Medicine Rounds is a monthly 1-hour educational rounds with a multidisciplinary audience bringing together pathologists, clinicians, nurses, technologists, and researchers from British Columbia and throughout Canada who have an interest in Transfusion Medicine. 

For Fellows of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, The British Columbia Transfusion Medicine Rounds is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Learning objectives 

The learning objectives for this webinar include: 

• Define what is Value Based Care (VBHC) and how it intersects with QI. 
• Describe VCH/PHC strategy in rolling out VBHC. 
• Recognize what physicians can do to start collecting and acting on outcome measures. 
• Identify what steps physicians can take to get involved with Integrated Practice Units.
