McMaster University presents the Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) Summit 2025, a virtual CPD conference designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the underlying mechanisms and evolving treatment approaches for
Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP).The target audience for this event includes hematologists, immunologists, and translational and basic scientists. 

Learning objectives

At the end of this activity, learners will be able to: 

  1. Compare the clinical and laboratory features of Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) and Warm Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (WAIHA).
  2. Evaluate current and emerging therapeutic strategies for ITP in the context of shared immune mechanisms with WAIHA.
  3. Interpret patient experiences to inform a more empathetic and holistic approach to managing autoimmune cytopenias.
  4. Discuss the role of antibody, complement, and cellular immune mechanisms in the pathogenesis of ITP and WAIHA.
