Event details

The Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) has made a pivotal move to enhance the care and awareness of haemoglobin disorders in the Americas by launching the Pan American Network for Haemoglobin Disorders (PANHD).

This initiative aims to establish a comprehensive and unified platform that links patient associations, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders across the continent. By encouraging collaboration and enabling the sharing of knowledge and resources, the network aspires to improve the quality of care and support for individuals affected by these rare blood disorders.

This webinar will focus on iron toxicity and its management in patients with hemoglobinopathies, the cumulative effects of iron overload, essential and novel chelating options, and the critical role of regular monitoring in detecting existing complications and preventing future ones.

Following the discussions, a dedicated Q&A session will provide attendees the chance to engage directly with experts, ensuring their specific questions on haemoglobinopathies are thoroughly addressed.
