Objectives:

1.     Understand the process for identifying and providing rare phenotype units at Canadian Blood Services.
2.     Learn how to initiate an inquiry or order for rare blood from the hospital.
3.     Consider ways that hospitals, hematologists and transfusion physicians can contribute to recruitment of rare donors.

The series, organized by Canadian Blood Services is also open to all practitioners in the field of Transfusion Medicine. Through a series of regular webinars, trainees and practitioners are exposed to various scientific, technical and clinical aspects of transfusion medicine.
